Students learning Chinese
Students can study Chinese at IBA, and not just to a basic level: in October 2016, IBA Confucius Institute was approved as an ‘HSK Exam Center’.
This means that students and employees - not only from IBA, but also from other educational institutions - now have the opportunity to take an ‘HSK Test’ and obtain an official certificate.
The aim of the Confucius Institute
Different kinds of Chinese
IBA Confucius Institute offers studies in both ‘Chinese Language and Culture’ and ‘Business Chinese and Culture’, so it is possible to learn the Chinese language whatever context you plan to use it in.
On top of the different types of Chinese, IBA Confucius Institute also makes it possible to study to different levels. From December, it has been possible to sit exams in both HSK1 and HSK2 levels, and there are plans to expand this to HSK3 in December 2017.
The students have proven to be very accomplished! These results speak for themselves:
- In December 2016, 22 students participated in HSK1. 21 of them passed, with an average score of 164 out of 200.
- In June 2017, 15 students participated in HSK1. 15 of them passed, with an average score of 163 out of 200.
- In June 2017, 21 students participated in HSK2. 19 of them passed, with an average score of 158 out of 200.
It is mostly students from the IBA Confucius Institute who have taken part in the HSK tests - but there have also been students from elsewhere, such as from Kolding Realskole. There have even been students travelling all the way from Sweden in order to take the tests.
