IBA Employability Camp 2020

STUDY, WORK, STAY in DENMARK

Welcome to IBA Employability Camp 2020, designed to help you to kick-start your new life, studies, and career in Denmark. The programme is a combination of on-site/online activities:

  • to get an introduction to IBA and Kolding
  • to get an introduction to the Danish culture and language
  • practical information – all you need to know.

The first part of the programme will be online, and you can attend from home.

The first on-site activity will be on Monday, 24th August, just before your official study start. You are expected to be present at IBA campus on this day.

If you are in Kolding and do not have internet access at home, you can use the internet at Kolding Library >>

Please note: If you are in quarantine/self-isolation, you cannot use the internet at the library!

IBA Employability Camp

IBA Employability Camp is a programme designed to help you to kick-start your new life, studies, and career in Denmark.

The programme will give you a head start so you don't have to figure things out as you go – this means you can focus on your studies instead!

Even if you have studied and/or lived in Denmark before, there will still be lots to learn! And of course, the sessions are the perfect way to get to know your new classmates, even before you meet up at IBA for your first day of classes.

Benefits of the programme

Denmark will be different to your home country in some ways, and similar in others – and some things may surprise you! As you will be studying and living in Denmark for the coming years, you will of course be exposed to Danish culture. Our Employability Camp will give you a head start – you won’t have to figure things out as you go along! This means you can focus on your studies, and will know what’s important when meeting Danish people or looking for a job. We will also teach you basic Danish, which you can continue learning at the language school next to IBA.

Additionally, we will cover practical information: registration, CPR number, NemID, e-boks, tax card, etc. On the study side, we will discuss IBA’s teaching methods, how to be a student at IBA, and general expectations – both what you can expect from us, and what we will expect from you.

Even if you have studied and/or lived in Denmark before, there will be lots to learn – all institutions are different! And of course, the sessions are the perfect way to get to know your new classmates, even before you meet up at IBA for your first day of classes.

Perhaps most importantly, our Careers Team will outline who they are, and how they can help you during your time at IBA and beyond.

We look forward to meeting you, both for the online part, and then of course when you come along to our campus.

WELCOME TO IBA EMPLOYABILITY CAMP 2020, Niels Egelund, President of IBA
