Chinese lantern festival concert

IBA Confucius Institute in collaboration with the Vent d’Orient Vent d’Occident (Paris), invites you for a unique artistic experience at Kolding Castle.

Vent d’Orient Vent d’Occident was established in Paris in 2019. It is an association that promotes music and art exchanges between Asian and European countries. The association organizes various music-related activities (concerts, lectures, master classes, music experience workshops, etc.) to accompany music lovers from various countries to explore the beauty of Eastern and Western music. IBA Confucius Institute invites them to present a Lantern Festival Concert at Kolding Castle in Kolding.

The aim of the Confucius Institute

  • To strengthen educational and business cooperation between China and Denmark.
  • To support and promote the development of Chinese language education.
  • To increase mutual understanding and friendship among people in China and Denmark.

The combination of different styles of melodies, playing skills, and sounds will take you from Asia to Europe, wandering in the ocean of modern and traditional music, and embarking on a wonderful musical journey with the glamour of both East and West.

People could attend the concert free of charge.

The quartet is composed of four excellent musicians from China and France. Yangqin and pipa will take you to feel the rhythmic beauty of the East. Cello and flute will show you the color of Western music.

The concert was arranged by IBA Confucius Institute in collaboration with the Vent d’Orient Vent d’Occident (Paris).

At the same time, an exhibition of artworks themed with Hans Christian Andersen and the Chinese Spring Festival will also be held at Kolding Castle. This exhibition is co-organized by Copenhagen China Culture Center, H.C. Andersen Culture and Art Committee, H.C. Andersen Samfund (Copenhagen), and Favour Economy and Culture Committee, which consists of Chinese painting, calligraphy paper-cutting, photography, etc.
