Learn Chinese

The course is designed to provide an introduction at a reasonable pace in basic Chinese with the emphasis on developing listening and speaking skills.

Through the Chinese phonetic system, simple conversations, basic vocabulary and sentence patterns, this course provides a foundation to conduct a simple conversation.

After the course, students could be able to pass the Chinese proficiency test HSK 1.

Course goal

As a beginner you will learn to read and write a number of Chinese characters. You will also be introduced to Chinese elementary grammar rules and the Pinyin Romanization system in which Chinese is written with alphabetic letters as often seen in Western newspapers. Furthermore, you will learn to use Pinyin Chinese-English dictionaries.

Prerequisite of the course 

The course if for those who have no prior knowledge of Chinese language.

The course is based on the textbook “New Practical Chinese Reader" and exercise book.

Lessons: 30 lessons (the courses consists of two lessons of each 45 minutes and a 15 minutes break from 16:00 - 17:45)
Time: Tuesday & Thursday, 16:00 - 17:45
Dates: 1/3, 3/3, 8/3,10/3, 15/3, 17/3, 12/4, 14/4, 19/4, 21/4, 26/4, 28/4, 3/5, 10/5/ and 12/5.

Course fee*: Regular fee DKK 750. For IBA students & employees DKK 500.
Deadline for registration and payment: February 28, 2016.

You can cancel the course and get the course fee refunded before 28 February. If you cancel the course after 28 February, the course fee cannot be refunded. We keep our right to cancel the course in case the number of registered students is below five.
