International Sales & Marketing / Business Management & Marketing (Double Degree)

If you want to gain two bachelor degrees at the same time, this education is for you.

While studying the Top-up Bachelor in International Sales and Marketing Management full-time at IBA, you also follow the E-learning Bachelor in Business Management and Marketing, from London South Bank University.

In the space of three semesters, you get two bachelor degrees, leading to a business career in sales, marketing and export.

Facts

  • Spring: Application deadline is October 1 for non-EU students // December 1 for EU/EEA and Danish students.
    Autumn: Application deadline is March 15 for non-EU students // July 1 for EU/EEA students // July 5 for Danish students.
  • Admission requirements: AP degree in Marketing Management.

Studying for two degrees is challenging, and it requires a high level of motivation - not least because the e-learning degree takes place largely through independent study. 

What you learn

During both degrees, you learn about sales, marketing, law and management, in an international context.

You are able to plan and implement sales and marketing strategies, as well as analyse and assess a given company’s possibilities for growth and development.

All courses and exams are in English.

Career opportunities

These degrees in International Sales and Marketing Management & Business Management and Marketing open the door to a wide range of opportunities for a business career in sales, marketing and export in the international arena.

Depending on your interests and chosen electives, you can find employment as a manager, coordinator or project manager, with titles such as sales and marketing coordinator, key account manager, product manager or sales manager.

You will be able to get jobs in Danish companies that have business relations abroad, as well as international ones that export their products to Denmark.

Internship

During the third semester you must complete a 3-month internship, which can be taken in Denmark or anywhere in the world - further enhancing your employment prospects. You are responsible for finding your internship yourself, or you can make use of our network in Denmark or abroad.

At the end of your internship, you write two separate reports about your internship – one reflective portfolio and a traditional report, in which you evaluate your internship and look ahead.

International opportunities

When studying the bachelor degrees, you have various options for gaining additional international experience. You can study abroad for a semester, where you can choose from many of IBA's partner institutions all over the world.

Furthermore, there is a wide range of short-term international opportunities, providing the possibility for students to strengthen their ability to work within a multicultural environment, broaden their international network and develop skills related to the studies, such as study visits, international marketing and business weeks.

Further education

On successful completion of the double bachelor degree, you can progress automatically to a full-time master’s degree at the IBA, or use your credits to complete a degree at master’s level at another university in Denmark or abroad.

Admission requirements

If you have successfully completed an AP degree in Marketing Management, you are normally accepted automatically.

If you have a degree from another country or an AP degree in a different subject area, you will be evaluated individually. In some cases, taking additional courses is necessary, and you must have English and mathematics at the levels described below.

Additionally, you need a recommendation from an appropriate tutor, advisor or international co-ordinator, confirming that you have the aptitude, self-discipline, motivation and commitment to complete a challenging double award programme.

Mathematics or Business Economics

Mathematics B-level or Business Economics B-level  is required in order to apply for the double bachelor degree.

The Mathematics B-level is represented by 250 hours during the last three years of upper-secondary school (equivalent to the Danish B-level of a Danish upper-secondary examination).

The Business Economics B-level is represented by 225 hours during the last three years of upper-secondary school (equivalent to the Danish B-level of a Danish upper-secondary examination).

English language

Students from Denmark must have passed English at a level equivalent to a Danish Upper Secondary education B-level. The English B-level is represented by 210 hours during the last three years of upper-secondary school (equivalent to the Danish B-level of a Danish upper-secondary examination).

Students from all other countries must present a recognised international English test with a result equivalent to or better than:

  • IELTS: 6.5
  • TOEFL Paper: 550
  • TOEFL Computer: 213
  • TOEFL Internet-based: 79 (minimum 19 in all sections)
  • Cambridge test: CAE A, B or C
  • Oxford Online Placement test: B2 (min. 70 in each part)

Excepted from the requirement of the English test are native English speakers and applicants holding Nordic entrance exams.

How to apply

The double bachelor programme has both autumn and spring intake.

Please note that all applicants must write a motivation letter.

Autumn intake

You have to apply for the Double Degree at the same time as you apply for the BA in International Sales and Marketing Management. You need to fill in the application form (Word) and send it with all necessary documents plus your motivation letter to apply@iba.dk.

All attachments to your application must be submitted together with the application form no later than the application deadline.

Non-EU students must apply no later than March 15, 2017.

EU/EEA students must apply no later than July 1, 2017.

Danish students must apply no later than July 5, 2017.

Study start: End of August 2017.

Spring intake

When applying for the spring intake, you need to fill in the application form and send it with all necessary documents plus your motivation letter to apply@iba.dk.

Tuition fees

Full-time programme: International Sales and Marketing Management

Danish, Nordic, EU and EEA students: Free of charge.

Other students: DKK 68.000 per year (DKK 34.000 per semester).

E-learning programme: Business Management and Marketing

For all students: DKK 26.000.

CATS & ECTS

The CATS (Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme) points system is recognised by many UK Higher Education institutions as a method of quantifying credit for a particular course.

CATS points convert to European academic credits (ECTS) as follows: Two CATS points are equivalent to one ECTS point.
